Child, Youth and Family is a service of the Ministry of Social Development, and is part of a network of agencies aiming to build an environment where child abuse is not tolerated. Barnardos works within the community to provide a range of care, education and support services for children and their families. As a not-for-profit organisation Barnardos is dedicated to ensuring all New Zealand children and families have access to services which are appropriate to their needs. NetSafe, the programme of New Zealand's Internet Safety Group (ISG), is cybersafety education for all New Zealanders - children, parents, schools, community organisations and businesses. The ISG has been designated the Ministry of Education's 'agent of choice' for cybersafety education in New Zealand. Rape Prevention Education is a part of Whakatu Mauri/Rape Crisis Auckland. Rape Prevention Education works to support survivors of sexual violence and their whanau. Another of our objectives is to eliminate rape and sexual abuse through education and community work. Rape Prevention Education offers support to male and female survivors of rape and sexual abuse. We offer a phone service offering crisis intervention, support and a referral service to callers. WellStop is a community based, non-profit making organisation based in Wellington, Palmerston North, Napier and Gisborne that is independent of government agencies. It has been operating since 1993 and is based on successful principles developed in New Zealand and other countries. The Department of Corrections manages offenders on sentences and orders imposed by Courts and the Parole Board. Corrections contributes to safer communities by protecting the public and reducing re-offending.
